OUR POSTPARTUM STORY
Why She Made a Human
She Made a Human was founded by Amy Sutton in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Amy is a mom of three boys, ages 18, 21, and 24, and she’s getting ready to welcome her first grandbaby. She’s disabled, loves people, babies, humor, and big personalities, and has always had a heart for making life a little easier and brighter for others. She also shares life with her fur babies, Fiona, Sonny, and Curry.
Once the baby arrives, everyone is understandably focused on the baby. Mama can quickly become part of the background, even though she is still healing, adjusting, and very much a human with needs too.
She Made a Human was created from one simple belief: Mama matters too.
We’re here to help women feel seen, supported, celebrated, and remembered during postpartum—with thoughtful gifts, practical comforts, a little humor, and a reminder that someone is thinking about her, too.
We aren’t medical professionals and don’t provide medical advice. We’re simply here to offer a little extra care, comfort, and encouragement—because sometimes Mama just needs to know someone is thinking about her, too.

Our Postpartum Story & Curation Process
Every item we choose has a purpose. We look for products that bring comfort, convenience, encouragement, or simply a little joy to the postpartum season. Because when we put a box together, we're thinking about Mama.

Thoughtfully Chosen
We choose products with Mama in mind—looking for quality, usefulness, comfort, and those little things that can make a hard day feel a bit easier.

Comfort & Care
From practical postpartum essentials to cozy comforts and small treats, our collections are designed to give Mama something that's just for her.
Made to Feel Personal
We want every box to feel like it came from someone who gets it—not just another package at the door, but a reminder that Mama matters too.

Our Promise to Mama
We will never use a mother’s pain to pressure a purchase.
We know postpartum can be beautiful, funny, exhausting, lonely, frightening, and dark—and none of those feelings make you a bad mother. There is no fault in the darkness and no shame in needing help finding the light.
We promise to tell the truth, offer practical support, and share real resources—whether you purchase from us or not.
You are not to blame. You are not the only one. You do not have to carry it alone.
